Support project for the emergence of a dynamic of social, economic, environmental and cultural political transformation

As part of the implementation of the project  support for the emergence of a dynamic of social, economic, environmental and cultural political transformation  in areas  by Sikasso, Yorosso, Kadiolo,  Koutiala, Yafolila,   and Bougouni, AMSS is recruiting an Accountant.

The Malian Association for Survival in the Sahel (AMSS as part of the Support Project for the emergence of a dynamic of social, economic, environmental and cultural transformation  in areas  by Sikasso, Yorosso, Kadiolo,  Koutiala, Yafolila,   and Bougouni funded by the British Embassy in  Mali, research  A)  (01) Accounting officer  .

Place of employment : Bamako with permanent trips to the circles of Sikasso, Yorosso, Kadiolo,  Koutiala, Yafolila,   and Bougouni.

  Starting date : November  2019

Type of Contract:   Service contract,  of Malian nationality

Duration of the contract: 1 year renewable if the trial period is conclusive

This project in the Sikasso region  aims to help strengthen the resilience of target communities through the emergence of local dynamics.

The Accountant will be responsible for  :

• Manage all accounting related to transactions  (Attendance sheets, records in the journals, records in the General Ledger, Classification of financial records, etc…).

• Prepare monthly financial reports including reconciliations

• Develop monthly fund requests

• Support and advise the Project manager on all financial aspects

• Prepare checks.

Qualifications  :

• Bac + 4 in Accounting or Finance or equivalent

• At least 3 years of experience in a project funded by a national or international organization

• Computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Internet)

• Demonstrated ability to work professionally in an intense environment

• Knowledge of Sage SARI software is a job requirement

• Like to work in a team.
