RECRUITMENT NOTICE IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE PROTECTION MONITORING PROJECT, OF SOCIAL COHESION

1. DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

Under the direct supervision of the Base Chief and the technical supervision of the National Protection Coordinator, the incumbents will perform the following tasks  :

• Review the data collected by the monitors and ensure that their qualifications comply with national and international legislation  ;

• Provide guidance to monitors and data entry clerk with a view to improving the quality of the information to be collected  ;

• Refer the protection cases collected to specialized actors for an adequate response and ensure follow-up  ;

• Revitalize the Local Community Protection Committees (CLPC)  ;

• Organize awareness-raising and training activities on respect for human rights and social cohesion in collaboration with specialized actors and communities (CLPC, local leaders, populations, etc.);

• Prepare the various protection reports planned within the framework of the project  ;

• Participate in various forums and local coordination mechanisms on protection issues and other related issues  ;

• Perform all other professional tasks requested by the hierarchical superior.

  2. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Have at least a License in Law or Social Sciences  ;

• Have a professional experience of at least 3 years. Experience in a similar function would be an asset  ;

• Be diligent, punctual, proactive and reactive  ;

• Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines  ;

• Have the capacity to actively participate in the search for solutions to the problems of civilian populations  ;

• Show team spirit  ;

• Be able to adapt to security constraints and show flexibility;

• Commit to respecting the principle of confidentiality  ;

• Computer skills (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and ACCES) would be an asset  ;

• Have a good command of French (oral and written) and the local languages of northern Mali.
